The torches can be hand-held or mounted on a weapon with a light beam parallel to the bore. The tactical flashlight also serves as a method of non-lethal force, it serves to temporarily blind and disorient targets. Features especially associated with tactical lights include impact resistance, reliability, lightweight construction and powerful batteries with long life and high intensity flashlight. The tactical flashlight may have optional LEDs to produce colored light, such as red, or may emit only infrared radiation for use with night vision devices.     The headlamp is a light miniature lamp designed to be attached to the head by an elastic band, which allows it to shine in the direction of rotation of the head while the user has his hands free. The batteries are either directly connected to the reflector or are located in a housing on the opposite side of the rubber band. For more powerful headlights, the batteries are usually housed at the waist and a cable leads into the reflector. The headlamp is usually a robust construction resistant to the effects of the weather, models for cavers are usually waterproof. AAA mini-batteries or classic 18650 batteries are most often used as batteries, but there are also other accumulators.
