In the field of weapon technology, the riflescope is an optical device that attaches to the weapon in front of or instead of conventional sights and facilitates aiming at longer distances, as it zooms in / out on the target. In fact, it is a modified telescope with a deliberate outline. Riflescopes are mainly used on sniper and hunting rifles. The device (holder or holders with a sleeve) by which the riflescope is attached to the weapon is called mounting. If the mounting allows aiming without the use of a riflescope through the sight of the sights, (on the front sight), then it is a so-called mounting with a soffit. In common parlance, the term optician is often used for riflescopes.
There are two basic types of red dot - open and tubular, or closed, but both work on the same principle. Tubes are more suitable for nature and where there is a risk of dirt clogging.
